Fort Wayne 5 @Dayton 3: For more than 200 years, fireworks have peppered the July Fourth weekend sky. For the past four days, the Fort Wayne TinCaps have peppered the Dayton Dragons with three-run leads.

Peoria 7 @Kane County 1: Aramis Ramirez narrowly missed hitting a home run on the fifth pitch he saw from Cougars starter Mathieu LeBlanc-Poirier on Friday night.

@Quad Cities 4, Burlington 1: "There were a lot of good things that happened out there," Quad-Cities manager Steve Dillard said.

@Great Lakes 5, Lansing 3: Great Lakes Loons’ All-Star shortstop Dee Gordon is known for just about everything, except for hitting home runs. But Gordon brought down the house Friday night with a two-run homer to right centerfield with no outs in the bottom of the 12th inning, giving the Loons an exciting 5-3 comeback win over the Lansing Lugnuts in front of a Dow Diamond record crowd of 6,057 fans.

West Michigan 10 @South Bend 0: West Michigan's Whitecaps made sure that there were only post-game fireworks for the home team on Friday night of the Fourth of July weekend.
