Midwest League Action (7/28)

July 28 scoreboard.

@Wisconsin 10, Beloit 0: Shut down the Snappers.

Clinton 5, @Lansing 1: "It's not going to bring us down," Jackson said. "We're just going to keep pushing on."

@Great Lakes 6, Quad Cities 2: "It just shows you how baseball is a weird game," said Loons' manager Juan Bustabad.

Burlington 5, @South Bend 0: "It was just one of those innings where everything went right for them," said South Bend manager Mark Haley.

Cedar Rapids 5, @West Michigan 3 (11 innings): "This is one of the most disappointing losses this season because we played decent, but we beat ourselves on little mental mistakes all three games. They didn't beat us, we beat ourselves."

@Dayton 6, Kane County 1: "When I had bad games, I didn't throw my first pitch for a strike," Montano said. "I didn't have command. Now, I can control any pitch for a strike. I make the hitters crazy. They don't know what I'm going to throw."

@Fort Wayne 4, Peoria 2: “That was my best performance this season. I felt good from start to finish,” Pelzer said.
