So much for giving Brick complements.
It is raining in Cedar Rapids and the Rattlers just had their batting practice on the field cut short.
When I checked the radar before heading over to the stadium this afternoon, it was clear to the Nebraska line.
But, within the last 45 minutes, a band of Thundercats....HOOOOO!...sorry...a band of thunderstorms popped up between here and Des Moines. They appear to be heading this way.
It is still a little over 60 minutes to the start of game one, but we may at least be delayed. Check this post for updates.
For now, here is the song that is stuck in my head now because it was just played on the PA system at Perfect Game Field in Cedar Rapids.

A cheese-ill-eee fine song in it's own right, but what the heck was Eddie Van Halen thinking?
WAR Van Hagar!!!
Kid-I told you before..back off the Extreme bashing!!
RBX!!! There is other life on Rattler Radio, NICE!!!
No, don't mistake the phrase "cheese-ill-eee fine." That's a good thing.
Over the years i've stopped trying to convince people that the music of that era was good if they just give it a chance...cuz they won't.
So, i've come to grips that it takes a certain person to like that music...and i clearly do.
This is coming from someone that still listens to Y&T, Badlands, Gorky Park and Tora Tora (to name a few) passionately. So it's all good.
I was though disappointed when Sammy got dumped...errrrr, left the band. Gary Cherone is a fine singer, but just wasn't a good fit musically for Van Halen, IMO.
