I thought i'd give it a try, but as usual the JSO blog entry designed to talk about the prospects...went off course w/trade & free agent rumors.
Here was my well thought out (i.e. biased) contribution:
Lawrie's lofty rank has to be based on bat alone, cuz it was clear last season that he's not a 2B (or at last that it was his first year playing that position). He's got athleticism and he turns two nicely, but too many balls got through do to being out of position (which again, would be expected since it's his first year at 2B)
You had to wonder about all Lenny's issues weighing on Cutter. He's only a kid. I thought he played well up here when he was in center, but didn't seem to track balls well in LF or RF. Again, being he was a middle infielder until Helena in 2008, that makes sense.
He can steal a base and he was all about the hustle while he was up here. I look forward to seeing him at 2B in a Rattler uni this season.
Sugar Cain did not impress during his rehab stint in Appleton. At least not to the point that he's the 8th best prospect. If he's healthy, maybe that's different.
Really hope we get Kentrail for at least the first half. I'd very much look forward to seeing him in person.
