DOS: Trejo had a pair hits and a pair of RBI. Yesterday was his second multi-hit game and his first multi-RBI game for the Rattlers.

HELPING HAND: Rattler left fielder Juan Sanchez picked up his first outfield assist. There were runners at first and second with no outs in the second inning. On a fly ball to shallow left, Sanchez deked the runner at second into believing that he would catch the ball. When the ball dropped in, Sanchez threw to third for an easy force out.

SWOOPING IN: The Hawks tied the game with the first two-run triple by Ramirez. It came off of Rattler starter Cody Adams in the fourth inning.

TOUGH LUCK LOSS: Adams allowed an unearned run in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Silver Hawks took the lead 3-2. Adams was charged with the loss.

THAT ESCALATED IN A HURRY: There was a runner at first and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning with the score still 3-2 in favor of the Hawks. Rattler reliever Wily Peralta proceeded to allow a walk, an RBI single, Parker’s two-run triple, an RBI single, another single, and Ramirez’s second two-run triple. Jim Henderson relieved Peralta and gave up an RBI double and the Hawks went from 3-2 to 10-2 in a space of seven batters.

BALLOON PAYMENT: Peralta, who had struck out the side in order in the bottom of the sixth, saw his ERA go from 1.80 to 4.64.

KEEP ON WORKING: Corey Kemp singled in the top of the second inning for the Rattlers. That extended his hitting streak to seven games.
