NASHVILLE (AAA: 17-15; 4th Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Omaha 5-3. Tony Gwynn went 3-for-5 with a homer and two runs scored for Nashville.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 15-12; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars beat Chattanooga 2-1. Vinny Rottino’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning drove in the winning run.
BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 22-9; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees lost 4-3 in 10 innings to Clearwater. Zelous Wheeler drove in all three of Brevard County’s runs. His RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth tied the game, but the Threshers scored twice in the top of the tenth.
