Brewers System Report: Games of August 31, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 62-70; National League Central): The Brewers lost 8-4 at Cincinnati. Yovani Gallardo allowed eight runs on nine hits over five innings to take the loss.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 72-64; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds had their doubleheader rained out in Oklahoma City.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 64-69 overall; 31-32 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 3-2 at Montgomery. The Biscuits scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning to snap a 1-1 tie. Huntsville scored a run in the top of the seventh inning, but could not get the tying run on the board.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 61-73; 34-31 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 6-5 in ten innings at Tampa. Brock Kjeldgaard (’09) hit a pair of solo homers for Brevard County.

HELENA (Rookie: 38-29 overall; 19-10 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost the completion of their suspended game with Billings 7-5. Helena won the regularly scheduled game 3-2 in ten innings.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 34-22; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers won the Arizona League championship with a 10-8 win over the Reds. The Brewers scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to break an 8-8 tie.
