I'd take credit...

for picking the Tigers to beat the Yankees, but I missed on the other three Division Series for a record of 1-3.

I'll have LCS picks tomorrow. For now, take a look at the last time there was a St. Louis-New York NLCS and an Oakland-Detroit ALCS.

1972 A's-Tigers
A's beat Detroit 2-1 in Game Five of at Tiger Stadium. If they had lost, the A's would have been the first team to blow a 2-0 series lead.

Two games in that series went extra innings.

2000 Mets-Cardinals
The Mets beat the Cardinals 4 games to 1 to set up the Subway Series with the Yankees.

New York won the first two games of the series at St. Louis. The Cardinals won Game Three at Shea, but the Mets took the final two games of that series.
