In Orangest America

We arrived early on Monday. Invesco Field is impressive to look at from the outside. The sculpture of the Bronco atop the stadium is a nice touch.

Oh, yes. It is Bronco Country.

This is where we spent most of the day. The camper above and trailer below belong to the Mile High Jester.
More horsey sculpture!
A Bronco Bus called 'The Drive'. To what could that possibly refer?

Packer fans were out in full force. This picture does not capture the representation.
The tossing of refreshments from the roof by the Jester brought...

...the Stampede, the official drumline of the Broncos.

There isn't much that can't be made better by the addition of a drumline, by the way.
Quick story about the guy in the orange body paint...Oh, more specificity? The drummer in the middle of the picture. See him? His left elbow is pointing to the orange body paint guy. Okay.

Earlier in the day, orange body paint guy stopped by where my friends and I were standing. He saw that we were Packer fans...obviously...and decided to announce that he played hockey for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The rest of the conversation went like this.
Me: Oh, what years did you play for the Gophers?
OBPG:
[inaudible mumble] 1998.

Me: I lived up in Superior until 1998 and followed the WCHA pretty well. You must have played with Dave Spehar.
OBPG:
Name doesn't sound familiar.

Me:
Really? He was only one of the top scoring hockey players in Minnesota High School History. Played four years for the Gophers. What's your name?

OBPG:
I gotta go fix my hair.

Me [to my friends]:
Think he's ever been called on that before?

My friends:
Nope.
[All exit laughing]

The Clydesdales were there. I know this has probably been mentioned before, but that dalmatian is bigger than it looks on TV.
Sorry about the picture quality. This is from my seat in the stadium. The OT TD from Favre to Jennings was into the right corner of the endzone nearest us.

The start of OT was loud. When the ball was in the air, it got louder. When Jennings caught the ball and started pulling away, the Packer fans around us -- and there were a lot -- got very loud. By the time we stopped jumping around, the Bronco fans had cleared out of the stadium.

One more By the way...

By the way, the ending was Freaking Awesome!
