MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 17-13; 2nd National League Central): The Brewers beat the Cubs 3-2 at Miller Park. Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning for the lead. Trevor Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 15-13; 4th Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 6-5 at Omaha. Nashville trailed 6-3 and scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to get close.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 14-12; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars beat West Tennessee 9-4. Kevin Melillo went 4-for-6 and drove in three runs for Huntsville. Drew Anderson also had four hits and added two RBI. The Stars are now in first place in the South Division.
BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 21-7; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat Lakeland 5-3. Evan Anundsen allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings for his fourth win of the season.
