Loons look for loyal local labor

Derick Woodcock wants to see you at a Great Lakes Loons game.

In fact, the 16-year-old Bullock Creek resident wants to be the first person to greet you at the gate, as a ticket taker.

"I thought it'd be pretty fun to scan all the tickets," he said. "This would be my first real job if I get it."

But Woodcock has some competition for the job, with several hundred people on hand during a Saturday recruitment day for the Loons vying for just 200 jobs.
