Great. More Madness

Minors Moniker Madness is going on over at milb.com. Basically, names of minor league players are selected. Those players are pitted against each other.

There are two ex-Rattlers in the bracket.

In the Razor Shines bracket, Austin Bibens-Dirkx is a #3 seed facing #14 Dimaster Delgado.

The inimitably named Austin Bibens-Dirkx went down in the first round of last year's competition, and now he's looking for revenge against the liltingly poetic Dimaster Delgado. Bibens-Dirkx made 31 relief appearances for the Class A Advanced High Desert Mavericks last season, while Delgado made his professional debut as a starting pitcher for the Dominican Summer League Braves.
Over in the Farmer Works bracket, #10 Mumba Rivera takes on #7 Jair Jurrjens.
A native of St. Croix of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Mumba St. Clair Rivera struck out 71 batters over 56 1/3 innings with the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in 2007. His opponent is the inimitable Jair Jurrjens, a Netherlands Antilles native who earned a late-season promotion to the Detroit Tigers. Now with the Atlanta Braves, Jurrjens is currently in the running to make the team out of Spring Training.

Replace that last line with "Do you vote in these tournaments?" for me.
