TACOMA (AAA: 64-57, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 4-3 at Tucson. Mumba Rivera (’05) allowed a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to allow the Sidewinders to snap a 3-3 tie.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 62-57, 21-28 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 13-7 to Huntsville. Johan Limonta (’06) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI, and a run scored for West Tennessee, but it wasn't enough.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 53-66, 21-28 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 14-8 to Inland Empire. The 66ers scored six runs in the second inning and in the sixth. Anthony Varvaro (’07) allowed nine runs on six hits over 5-1/3 innings and took the loss. Chris Minaker (’06) and Travis Scott (’06) each had two RBI for High Desert.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 24-29, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox beat Tri-City 7-6 in 11 innings for their seventh consecutive win. The Sox tied the game 5-5 with four runs in the bottom of the ninth. The teams traded runs in the tenth inning and Everett scored the winning run in the bottom of the eleventh.
PULASKI (Rookie: 32-20, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s won 9-2 at Bluefield.
PEORIA (Rookie: 16-24, 7-5 4th Arizona League): The AZL M’s were off on Sunday.
