SEATTLE (MAJ: 47-82 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 5-1 to Oakland. Wladimir Balentien (’04) drove in the only Seattle run with a seventh inning double.
TACOMA (AAA: 72-62, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won 11-1 at Portland. Jon Nelson (’03) tripled and drove in a run. Rob Johnson (’05) scored twice. Denny Stark (’97) struck out six over three scoreless innings of relief for the win.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 67-63, 25-33 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx beat Montgomery 10-7. Greg Halman (’07) broke a 7-7 tie with a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh. Mike Wilson (’05) hit his 27th homer of the season for West Tennessee.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 54-78, 22-40 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 5-1 at San Jose. High Desert managed just three hits and scored an unearned run in the game. Justin Souza (’08) allowed one run on five hits over five innings for a no decision.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 27-38, T-3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 8-3 at Vancouver. Everett scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but the Canadians scored the final eight runs of the game.
PULASKI (Rookie: 38-26, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s beat Burlington 5-3.
PEORIA (Rookie: 19-31, 10-13 6th Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Rangers 14-12. The game didn't really get interesting until the eighth. Click here and scroll down.
