SEATTLE (MAJ: 46-78 4th American League West): The Mariners lost 13-5 at Chicago. Raul Ibanez (Foxes, ’94) went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. The White Sox pulled away with six runs in the fifth inning.
TACOMA (AAA: 68-61, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers lost 7-1 at Sacramento. Rob Johnson (’05) had two of Tacoma’s five hits.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 65-60, 23-30 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx won 4-0 at Mobile in a rain-shortened game. Adam Moore (’06) and Marshall Hubbard (’05) hit two of the three first inning solo homers for West Tennessee. Joe Woerman (’06) allowed two hits over six innings for a complete game shutout.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 53-74, 21-36 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 4-2 at Lancaster. High Desert led 2-1 until the JetHawks scored two runs in the seventh inning. The loss was the ninth straight for the Mavs.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 27-34, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 7-4 to Eugene. The Emeralds scored three runs in the fifth and snapped Everett's home winning streak.
PULASKI (Rookie: 36-23, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 14-7 to Greeneville.
PEORIA (Rookie: 18-28, 9-10 6th Arizona League): The AZL M’s beat the Royals 9-6.
