SEATTLE (MAJ: 47-81 4th American League West): The Mariners beat Oakland 7-5. Jeff Clement (’05) drove in three runs for Seattle. Ryan Feierabend (’04) allowed one run on five hits with five strikeouts over five innings, but took a no decision as the M's snapped a seven game losing streak.
TACOMA (AAA: 71-62, 2nd Pacific Coast League Pacific Northern Division): The Rainiers won a pair of games at Portland. Tacoma won the completion of a suspended game from Friday 11-2. Justin Thomas (’06) pitched 1-1/3 innings in relief for the win. The Rainiers won the regularly scheduled game 6-4. They scored twice in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie.
WEST TENNESSEE (AA: 66-63, 24-33 4th Southern League North Division): The Diamond Jaxx lost 15-5 at Mobile. Adam Moore (’06) and Greg Halman (’07) homered, but Edward Paredes (’08) allowed eight runs on eight hits over 3-1/3 innings and a 5-1 lead disappeared.
HIGH DESERT (High-A: 54-77, 22-39 second half 5th California League South Division): The Mavericks lost 5-3 to Visalia. Carlos Triunfel (’07) drove in a pair of runs for High Desert. But, the loss was number 12 in the last 13 games.
EVERETT (Short Season-A: 27-37, 3rd Northwest League Western Division): The AquaSox lost 4-3 to Salem-Keizer.
PULASKI (Rookie: 37-26, 1st Appalachian League East Division): The M’s lost 10-1 to Burlington.
PEORIA (Rookie: 18-31, 9-13 6th Arizona League): The AZL M’s lost 4-1 to the Angels.
