Foxes’ starter Chuck Symeon gave up three homers and took the loss.
This loss dropped the Foxes to 17-13 1.5 games behind Cedar Rapids in the Three-I League.

Tony Mendez allowed one run on two hits over six innings. He did walk five, but also struck out six. The win moved his record to 6-1.
Jim Markert drove in three runs for the Foxes.
Madison's loss meant that they were 3-7 in their last 10 games. Appleton's win meant that they were 8-2 in their last 10 games.
Appleton is now 35-16 and 4.5 games up on the Muskies in the Northern Division of the Midwest League.
