MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 28-38; National League Central): The Brewers lost 5-1 to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Carlos Gomez homered for the only Milwaukee run. Joel Pineiro (’98) pitched eight innings and struck out five for the win.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 35-31; Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Memphis 9-0. Chase Wright pitched a complete game one-hit shutout. Mat Gamel homered and drove in four runs for Nashville.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 29-37; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 9-4 to Montgomery. Taylor Green (’09) homered and drove in two runs for Huntsville.
BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 23-39 overall; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 2-1 in ten innings at Clearwater. Andre Lamontagne (’10) allowed a run in the eighth. Brevard County scored a run in the top of the ninth to tie the game. THe Threshers scored a run in the bottom of the tenth for the win.
