Charlie Johnson had six RBI for the Foxes. Arne Thorsland picked up the win as the Foxes won their tenth straight game. From the write up in the Post-Crescent:
Approximately 50 Fox Cities fans made the trip to Cedar Rapids to watch the weekend victories.They are now 33-20 and in first place. The Foxes are 3.5 games in front of Sioux City in the Three-I League pennant race.

Jim Filippi started for the Foxes and allowed seven runs (five earned) on four hits and three walks in 3-1/3 innings.
The usually solid Ken Reed gave up six runs (four earned) on eight hits over 2-2/3 innings out of the bullpen.
Appleton is 48-23 and 10.5 games up on Madison in the Northern Division.
