Zodiac is a good movie with some true creep-out moments, even for someone who is somewhat familiar with the case.
It captured the jurisdictional battles between the different police agencies, the deepening obsession of Robert Graysmith, who wrote the book on which this movie was based, and the menace of the main Zodiac suspect.
Trust me, I've been there with the obsession thing. Not to the extent that Graysmith reaches in the movie. Nothing like bringing your kids into helping you out on a serial killer investigation.
That main Zodiac suspect was played with the right amount of intelligence and creepiness by John Carroll Lynch. Yes, the guy who played Drew's brother on The Drew Carey Show.
Next up, 300. Because the Battle of Thermopylae is another one of my little obsessions.
