That's ex-Beloit Snapper ('02-'03) Prince Fielder after the game winning homer against the Pirates last night.
Prince Fielder proved once again Tuesday night to be pressure-proof, pounding a two-out, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Brewers a badly needed 7-5 victory over Pittsburgh at Miller Park.
The New York Mets already had a victory over the Chicago Cubs on the scoreboard when Fielder delivered his 34th homer and boosted his RBI total to 100 for the season by crushing a hanging 2-0 slider from reliever T.J. Beam out to right-center.
Thus, the Brewers remained one game behind the Mets in the National League wild-card race with five to play.
Rattler tie-in. Prince Fielder played his first Midwest League game against the Timber Rattlers. On August 2, 2002 at Pohlman Field, Fielder went 1-for-3 with a walk and his first Midwest League home run. It was a seventh inning solo shot to left field off lefty Ryan Ketchner. The Timber Rattlers beat the Beloit Snappers 2-1.
