A green roof, waterfalls in the outfield and a designated area for dogs are among improvements fans envision for Davenport’s Modern Woodmen Park.

There has been no shortage of creativity among the suggestions offered by Quad-Cities River Bandits fans who are participating in the team’s ongoing “You Pick the Improvement Contest.’’

“We asked folks to be creative, and we’re seeing it,’’ general manager Kirk Goodman said. “We’re impressed with what we’ve seen so far.’’

More than 1,000 entries have been submitted, and those submitted before Friday’s 5 p.m. deadline will be reviewed next week. A group of finalists will be selected, and fans will pick the improvement in an online poll.

Goodman said ideas submitted have ranged from practical to bizarre.

I wonder under which category this falls:

One fan suggested installing a vegetation-covered green roof at the facility and offered the idea of using the soil to grow produce that could be sold at the farmers’ market held twice a week in a parking lot adjacent to the ballpark.

I have my own idea.....but, I can't find the picture of the visiting radio booth. Will post it along later.
