"There's a lot of people that want to have this happen right now," said Dennis Conerton, chairman of the Beloit Snappers.Five-year plans always work. Just ask the Soviet Union.
Pohlman Field is home to the Beloit Snappers and has been the starting point for many big names in Major League Baseball but the park has hardly changed in 30 years.
"We know long term that this facility is not going to make it," said Conerton. "It's probably at the bottom or second from the bottom of our 14 team league, so we have to do something."
Building a new stadium is a top priority for the team and community leaders. Beloit's visitor’s center recently identified a new stadium among the top priorities for its five-year strategic plan.
Kidding, Beloit and the Snappers. Kidding.
