Team leaders just unveiled the gear Tuesday afternoon at Glenbrook Square Mall. The TinCaps will be standing out in Appleton April 13-15.
There are four new uniforms: a white with green pinstripes for home games, a gray and green uniform for away games, a green top/white bottom uniform for batting practice and a red top/white bottom uniform for Sunday games and special events.
People are already buzzing about the new look and unlike when the new team name and logo were announced, the response seems to be much more positive.
"I think they'll really stand out when they go out of town," says Cindy Brown.
There are pictures at the WANE-TV link like this one that has a caption of Four men model the new TinCaps' uniforms....hmmmm
From Right to Left: Batting practice tops are green, Home jerseys are red, Road jerseys are gray, and Fort Wayne GM Mike Nutter is sporting the alternate business casual jersey for midweek day games.
I'm sure the video that goes along with the story will show if that uniform has khaki or navy pants to complete the ensemble.
The title of the post refers to doubling up. Well, what is the second story from the Fort?
This is: Dascenzo Returns to Manage 2009 TinCaps
Three familiar faces are set to lead the Fort Wayne TinCaps in 2009. Manager Doug Dascenzo returns for his third season at the helm in Fort Wayne. Pitching coach Tom Bradley and hitting coach Tom Tornincasa, both members of the 2008 field staff, are also back in their respective roles. Ernesto Vega, Jr. joins the TinCaps for his first season in Fort Wayne.Later in the story it mentions that the role for Vega is athletic trainer.
