In the comments on this post, there was a request for some Journey. That will not be happening. Not because the individual won't be purchasing a ticket package. But, well, I hate the band Journey...almost as much as I hate the band Boston. Kind of 1a and 1b on my list.
However, since he actually put a comment on the blog, here is a little something from the BoDeans.
The title of the song is the key.

I ordered my season seats the day before the Brewers affiliation was announced. I have been following your blog every day since then. Interesting read by the way.
Could you play some Raspberries? They are a seriously underrated band.
Hate Journey??? Hate Boston???
And here i'd thought with your Mr. Mister offering we'd reached peace time in our musical world... :)
Now i'm not going to say they're each in my top ten, but hate is such a strong word.
All right, i'm just going to throw my music out there like a Jheri curled Pascual Perez Eephus pitch.
I think you and I are pretty close in age. I'm a product of the 80's in which a kid could go one of two ways in high school (Go Ships!!!), Rap or Metal...I went Metal. But i've expanded since.
So, in no particular order here is who's at the top of my musical enjoyment mountain...
Big Head Todd & The Monsters
James Taylor
Y&T
Matt Nathanson
Tesla
Iron Maiden
Rush
Edwin McCain
Hootie & The Blowfish
And short of Iron Maiden, i've seen all of them at least once my life and most several times.
Most recently was Y&T at a club in Schaumburg in November followed by Nathanson in Madison at the Majestic and up next is Big Head Todd at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee 1/30 prior to Georgetown-Marquette the following day.
So, thoughts? Fire away (as long as i have chance to rebut a similarly formatted list from you)....
I actually fell asleep half-way through that Bo'Deans song...but I appreciate the shout out to my motherland.
Signed,
Steve Perry
