Much more in the morning. I hope.

I could critique the performance of the radio announcer....but, let me just say that he'll be holding off on the live blogs during games for a while. He missed a few things. A few important things.

Everything went ok on the video end of things. To be honest, I really expected more difficulties in the video-board debut. The show will only get better from here!

Let me throw in a comment on the live-blogging, in a friendly spirit; I think that you are already onto the point I'm going to make. For me, live-blogging and twittering fall into the category of Too Much. You are go good on the radio and have so much to attend to there, that it is probably best to focus on that while you are doing it. The blog, which is also great, is always there when the radio broadcast is over.

You are clearly not "dumb," so the Ohlmann gaffe suggests that, as you seem to admit, you are dispersing your attention in too many electronic directions at once. The human mind and attention do have limits. And noticing pitching changes does fall into the category of Your Job. So shoemaker, stick to your last!

That was meant to be "so good," of course, not "go good"...hey, it's 4 in the morning. But see, I'm not even distracted! It is hard enough to do the thing we're doing without trying to do five other things at once. In a broader, philosophical sense, I think our world in 2009 suffers for it.

Good times indeed!!! And while it wasn't snowing, i'm going to dress a tad bit warmer this evening...

I like the liberal use of movie clips with the video board. I like where we're going with the video board and i'm sure the glitches (dead spots, audio) will be worked out, it was the first live run after all right?

But I think we're missing a huge opportunity when Erik Miller does something good (oh, like slam a double off the batters eye).

We need a clip from Ghostbusters...at the end of the movie after the victorious battle to free New York City, Ernie Hudson's character says, "We had the tools, we had the talent!" Then Bill Murray's character says, "It's Miller Time!!!"

Huh??? Yeah, that's what i thought... :)

Being in the stands I cannot honestly critique the radio announcers performance...although i'm sure he did a fabulous job.

Is the Badger Song going to be ready to go Saturday afternoon?

I know what you meant, Patrick. Consider the Live Blogs tabled for now.

Josh, With everything else that was going on, I did not get a chance to pay much attention to the videoboard. Good to hear that you enjoyed it.

Also, I am told that the opening montage before the team takes the field is...what's the word...AWESOME!

Kid, I am trying to stay as far away from the production crew as possible.

My suggestions of "Why so serious?" and "And...Here...We...Go" from The Dark Knight and "AM I NOT MERCIFUL?!?!" from Gladiator have yet to be put into the rotation.

But, I'm sure that they will take yours and run with it!

So much to take in and remember, i'd forgot about the opening montage, that was pretty cool, kudos to whomever put that together (and wow, i never thought the racing sailboats could be worse, until they're compaired to the crab/shell game deal, that was also pretty cool).

Good call on the Dark Knight and Gladiator!!!

Oh, and one more thing... Cutter's entry music...Bryan Adams...GENIUS!!! (i'd wish i'd have thought of that darn it)
