MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 8-10; 5th National League Central): The Brewers lost 3-2 at Houston. Manny Parra allowed three runs (one earned) over five innings and took the loss.
NASHVILLE (AAA: 10-8; 4th Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 3-0 to Iowa. A three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning gave the Cubs the only runs they needed. The Nashville offense managed just three hits.
HUNTSVILLE (AA: 10-7; 1st Southern League South Division): The Stars won 3-1 at Chattanooga. Chris Cody allowed one run on two hits with five strikeouts over six innings for the win. Chuck Caufield knocked in a pair of runs for Huntsville.
BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 11-5; 1st Florida State League East Division): The Manatees beat Dunedin 8-3. Brent Brewer drove in four runs. Josh Butler gave up three runs on six hits, but struck out six over five innings for the win and the series sweep.
