That's not so bad...

Remember the note the other day about the Memphis Redbirds changing their logo? That new logo was unveiled yesterday...

That looks pretty good. What was the change again?

The most striking change to the Redbirds' logo occurs on the team cap, in which a stylized "M" replaces its much blander predecessor.

"I remember we were at one of the Minor League seminars a few years back and someone was talking about logos," said Chase. "And they hauled our 'M' up there as an example of a logo that was not a very good one, primarily because it would be impossible to trademark. But don't get me wrong, the old logo worked very well for us."

In addition to the revamped "M", the team's jersey features an updated type style. However, the Redbirds will remain one of the few Minor League clubs that features its city name on the home uniform (only the Sunday uniforms say "Redbirds"). And, as with the old uniform, a cardinal is perched atop the letter "h" in Memphis.

Okay. Interesting.
