He lives!!!

What are your thoughts on the massive shuffling all at once? Is it a shake up to try and jump start things for the second half or have Diaz, Sams and Halman really underperformed worse than others?

I know the first half this year was disappointing and you've got to give the kids a chance (maybe i'm still spoiled from '05) but you see the team every day, is there any explanation for the ridiculous amount of errors they make? I can't imagine the staff doesn't work on that extra hard based on the numbers...right?

Anyway, keep up the from the road images coming, always good fun. Looking forward to next Thursday night already, 10 days is too long with no Rattler baseball and entirely too long with no Rattler Brau!!!

Yep, still alive. To paraphrase Kirk in The Wrath of Khan: The poor marksman keeps missing the target.

In answer to your question about the shuffling: yes on both counts.

Regarding the errors: Yes, the staff works with the players. Not sure if you have seen it, but the Mariners have had specialty roving instructors in to work with the different positions. It has been frustrating for everyone involved to see that many errors. The only explanation is inexperience at this level. With a few more veteran players in the spots, the errors will not accumulate as quickly in the second half.

Thanks for checking in, Kid. When you come out to the stadium, bring a bunch of friends. We need to make up for seven rainouts this season.

Just razzing you on the missing posts, I never get everything done at work I want to... I'll go with

"What the hell you need ball bearings for?"

"Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course."

"Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State."

I'm not really sure how that applies to your over-work-load, but you can't go wrong quoting Fletch...
I knew the team was young, so that makes sense. I had not noticed the Mariner instructors. Normally don't get into the stadium until near first pitch.

I think i work with and know a bunch of secret communists, which can be the only viable explanation for not wanting to go to a baseball game right? So, soloing it Thursday but will have a group Saturday and then three of us 7/3 and 7/5. I'm efforting, i'm behind as well. Five (one cold out, one snow out, two rain outs and one it's supposed to rain but really didn't out) of those seven I had tickets for.

Anyway, thanks for the response and keep up the good work cuz your blog is normally updated more often and quicker than the T-Rats site!!!
