Joey Side singles, steals second, and goes to third on a grounder to the right side. The West infield plays in on the grass and the strategy pays off...Turner grounds out to short and Side is still at third base and the West go to the bullpen...SWING closer Kenny Maiques into the game.
Valaika lines out and Maiques gives a little fist pump on his way off the mound
Bottom of the fourth coming up and Chris Cody of West Michigan is on for the East.
Cody, the MWL leader in strikeouts with 92, strikes out Christian Lopez, gets a weak groundout from Dinkleman, and gets Chris Pettit to popout.
In the at bat by Dinkleman, he flared a popup near the third base stands. Juan Francisco was going hard after it and you could almost hear East manager Donnie Scott yelling "Let it go!" Francisco pulled up in time to avoid running into the railing.
The fifth is next and Zach Phillips of Clinton is on the hill for the West.
