Giants Fall Down Early, But Put Away Mavs
After the Mavs took a 3-0 lead early in Game 3 of the Championship Series in San Jose, it became apparent it was still going to be the Giants night. They used a comeback built upon infield singles and fortunate breaks to score four straight runs and defeat the Mavs 4-3 to sweep their way to a 2009 California League Championship.Ex-Rattlers for High Desert:
With the score tied 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth, the bases were loaded with one out. Edward Paredes struck out Nick Noonan, but the third strike was a wild pitch, allowing Johnny Monell to score the go-ahead run.
