Good luck to all of the teams. But, I know exactly who I am pulling for this year.
As for Waterford, this is a team that graduated Jake Dostalek after a monster season in 2009, lost three of its top four pitchers for extended stretches because of injuries and had to promote four sophomores late in the season just to patch holes. But after the Wolverines endured losing streaks of six and five games during the regular season, they put it together at just the right time to sweep through Horlick, Wilmot, Kenosha Bradford and Kenosha Tremper in the postseason.

Waterford (14-11) makes its third state tournament appearance in school history (the others were 1987 and '04, when it lost its first game each time) with a 1 p.m. Division 1 quarterfinal Tuesday against Hartford Union (9-15-1).
It was a lifetime ago, but 1987 was a pretty good year to play Waterford baseball...except in the State Tournament in Wausau.
