The headline in the June 15 Post-Crescent says it all TORRID FOXES JUST KEEP ON WINNING
The win was the eighth straight. After a May 13 loss at Quad Cities, the Foxes played 30 games. They went 24-6*.
Mike Taylor drove in the first two runs of the sixth inning to erase the 2-1 Waterloo lead.
Tony Menendez struck out seven over six innings. He went out to start the seventh inning, but a walk and a misplay put two on with no outs. Jeff Anderson relieved and tossed the final three innings without allowing a run.
Menendez ran his record to 8-1. The save was #4 for Anderson.
The Foxes are now 44-17. They continue to lead Madison by 10.5 games in the Northern Division of the Midwest League.
