The Foxes hit seven home runs in the doubleheader at Community Field.

Boog Powell, Cal Ripken, Sr., and Pete Ward homered in game one.

Ward and Jim Carver homered in game two. Bert Barth hit a pair of homers in game two.

Ward's homer in game two was a grand slam and he had 7 RBI on the day.

Powell went 5-for-8 in the game.

Chuck Symeon & Pat Gillick were the winning pitchers.

Fox Cities moves their record to 23-17. They are still in third place, but only are only 1/2 game behind Cedar Rapids and Sioux City in the Three-I League.

25 Years Ago:

The Appleton Foxes game at Goodland Field against the Waterloo Indians was rained out. The Foxes did not lose any ground in the Northern Division standings because Madison's game with Burlington was rained out.

Appleton has an eight game winning streak and they are 44-18; 10.5 games in front of second place Madison.
