Want to check out a FanFest

MLB.com has a handy guide to the fan fests being held by Major League teams this month and next.

Gear up for baseball at fan fests
January, February set to be a fun-filled time for fans of all ages

As many baseball fans across the country battle frigid temperatures and are stuck shoveling knee-deep snow from their driveways, it's sometimes hard to forget that Spring Training is just two short months away.

To help fans get back into the baseball spirit, teams are hosting fan festival celebrations throughout January and February to gear up for the start of the national pastime.

Fan fests often last an entire weekend and give fans the opportunity to meet the players, managers and coaches of their favorite hometown team, while also allowing fans to go behind the scenes of their team's ballpark.

There are links to the various conventions being held by each team listed. I followed the link to Mariners FanFest and found this interesting exhibit hosted by a former Appleton Fox:
NEW - Raul Ibanez Skills Challenge - A series of fun, interactive activities for kids of all ages; see if you have what it takes to be a big leaguer like Mariners left-fielder Raul Ibanez!

The exclamation point (!) really sells it!

Former Rattlers JJ Putz and Felix Hernandez are scheduled to appear at the event Janaury 27 and 28 at Safeco Field.
