Dayton?

Mandalay Named Baseball Organization of the Year

Mandalay Sports Entertainment, the owner and operator of the Dayton Dragons, has been named “Baseball Organization of the Year,” by Ballpark Digest, one of the industries top sources for Minor and Major League ballpark and operations news.
Thank you Dragons fans
Thank you fans for another great season during 2007. Fifth Third Field was once again sold out, which now brings the consecutive sellout streak to 565 games. More than 600,000 fans cheered on the Dragons in 2007 and the Dragons qualified for the playoffs by winning the first half Eastern Division with a 44-26 record. Overall the team finished 78-62 and had an impressive 13 players called up/promoted during the year.

In addition to the great accomplishments on the field, there was plenty of great news around the field as well. The Dayton Dragons were named one of the “Top Ten Toughest Tickets” in the entire country this April from Sports Illustrated.

More Eastern Division foes await Dayton in upcoming Class A season

Once again, the season will consist of two 70-game halves only with 92 games against teams from the East instead of the usual 76.
