Mark Haley is going to manage the
Silver Hawks again in 2009.
Mark Haley returns for his sixth year as the manager, while pitching coach Erik Sabel and hitting coach Francisco Morales will both be back for their second season in South Bend.
That is the same staff that South Bend had in 2008,
when this happened.
SOUTH BEND, IN – The Midwest League has named the Burlington Bees the 2008 Midwest League Champions. Midwest League Bylaws stipulate that in the event of inclement weather, the President may change Championship series from a five-game series to a three-game series. The Burlington Bees led the series 2-0.
