Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of August 31, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 64-66; 3rd National League Central): The Brewers were off on Monday.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 72-65; 1st Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat Memphis 6-5 in 12 innings. Corey Patterson hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the twelfth to put the Sounds into first place in their division.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 63-69 overall, 25-38 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars were swept in a doubleheader at Birmingham. The Barons beat Huntsville 2-1 in game one. Birmingham won game two 3-2.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 76-46 overall, 36-22 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees were off on Monday.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 27-36; 7-18 second half; T-3rd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers had their game in Great Falls suspended by lightning. The game will be resumed in Great Falls on September 8.

A scenario I would love to see is that the Orioles trade for Prince Fielder with the Milwaukee Brewers. He is something we need, and we have what the Brewers need/want. Yes, its a long shot, but anything can happen
