Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of September 1, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 64-67; 3rd National League Central): The Brewers lost 7-6 at St. Louis. Milwaukee had a 3-0 lead, but could not hold it. Matt Holliday hit a two-out, three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to break a 4-4 tie.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 72-66; 2nd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds lost 9-1 to Memphis. The Redbirds scored seven runs in the third inning. Nashville trails Memphis by a ½ game in the division race.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 63-70 overall, 25-39 second half; 4th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 1-0 to Birmingham. Huntsville had six hits in the game.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 76-47 overall, 36-23 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 4-3 in seventeen innings at Clearwater. Brevard County scored twice in the eighth inning to tie the game 2-2. Both teams scored runs in the fourteenth inning. Clearwater scored with one out in the seventeenth to end the game at the five hour mark.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 27-37; 7-19 second half; 4th Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 7-3 to Missoula. Helena had 12 hits in the game.
