Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of September 6, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 66-70; T-3rd National League Central): The Brewers beat San Francisco 2-1 in 12 innings. Prince Fielder hit a game-ending solo homer in the bottom of the twelfth and the Brewers turned a triple play, too.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 74-69; 2nd Pacific Coast League American North Division): The Sounds beat New Orleans 9-1. Brendan Katin hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs for Nashville. Lindsay Gulin (’98) pitched six scoreless innings for the win.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 63-74 overall, 25-43 second half; 5th Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 7-1 to Jacksonville. Huntsville had 10 hits in the game.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: 79-48 overall, 39-24 second half; 2nd Florida State League North Division): The Manatees split a doubleheader with Tampa to wrap up their 2009 regular season. Brevard County won game on 11-6. Steffan Wilson homered twice and knocked in three runs for the Manatees in the opener. The Yankees won game two 5-4 in eight innings. Tampa scored twice in the top of the eight and withstood a homer by Wilson in the bottom of the eighth for the win.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 30-40; 10-22 second half; 3rd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers beat Great Falls 8-7. Helena scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to erase a 6-3 deficit.
