Milwaukee Brewers Report: Games of September 8, 2009

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 66-72; 4th National League Central): The Brewers lost 4-3 to St. Louis. Milwaukee had a 3-0 lead after the second inning. But, the Cardinals got to within 3-2 heading and Matt Holliday hit a two-run homer off Trevor Hoffman in the top of the ninth.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 63-75 overall, 25-44 second half; 5th Southern League North Division): The Stars were off on Tuesday and begin their playoff series with Tennessee tonight.

BREVARD COUNTY (High-A: Florida State League): The Manatees lost game one of their playoff series with Tampa. The Yankees won 11-5 by breaking open a 3-2 game with three runs in the fifth and four in the seventh.

HELENA (SHORT SEASON ROOKIE: 31-42; 11-24 second half; 3rd Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost the completion of a suspended game with Great Falls 4-2. Helena won the regularly scheduled game 4-3.
