August 5, 2010: Game Notes

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Timber Rattlers beat the Peoria Chiefs 3-1. Hiram Burgos allowed one run over seven innings to pick up the win. Cameron Garfield broke a 1-1 tie with a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME: Burgos turned 23 on Wednesday.

IT DON’T COME EASY: Burgos allowed a run in the first inning. He allowed three hits and a walk in the frame and the Rattlers trailed 1-0.

GARFIELD! The Rattlers loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning on a double by Kentrail Davis and back-to-back walks issued to Chris Dennis and Khris Davis. The walk to Davis knocked Peoria starting pitcher Frank Batista out of the game. Garfield greeted Peoria reliever Ronny Morla with a single to center to drive in the go-ahead runs.

Those were the only stats that could be found at this time.
