Brewers System Report: Games of August 9, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 53-60; National League Central): The Brewers lost 7-4 in ten innings to Arizona. Milwaukee led 4-3, but the Diamondbacks scored a run in the ninth and three in the tenth for the win.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 61-55; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds won 12-2 at Las Vegas. Nashville scored eight runs in the fifth inning to take an 8-1 lead. Luis Cruz went 3-for-5 with four RBI for the Sounds.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 57-57 overall; 24-20 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars lost 16-6 at Tennessee. Brett Lawrie (’09) went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI for Huntsville. But, the Smokies scored nine runs in the eighth inning to blow open a close game.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 54-60; 27-18 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 7-2 at Dunedin.

HELENA (Rookie: 23-24 overall; 4-5 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers trailed 2-0 in the fourth inning when the game was suspended by rain.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 25-14; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers lost 2-0 to the Dodgers.
