Brewers System Report: Games of August 18, 2010

MILWAUKEE (MAJ: 57-64; National League Central): The Brewers beat the Cardinals 3-2 in St. Louis for the second game in a row. Lorenzo Cain (’09) went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two runs, and an RBI. Trevor Hoffman got the final out for career save #598.

NASHVILLE (AAA: 64-59; Pacific Coast League American Northern Division): The Sounds had their home game with Colorado Springs rained out on Wednesday.

HUNTSVILLE (AA: 61-61 overall; 28-24 second half; Southern League North Division): The Stars won 17-4 at Birmingham. Taylor Green (’09) went 5-for-5 with a homer and six RBI for Huntsville.

BREVARD COUNTY (Advanced-A: 57-65; 30-23 second half; Florida State League North Division): The Manatees lost 9-2 at Lakeland. The Flying Tigers scored nine runs in the sixth inning.

HELENA (Rookie: 27-27 overall; 8-8 second half; Pioneer League North Division): The Brewers lost 8-6 to Casper. The Ghosts scored three runs in the eighth inning to break a 5-5 tie.

AZL BREWERS (Rookie: 29-16; Arizona League Central Division): The Brewers were off on Wednesday.
