What were they thinking?

It took me awhile to get used to the new NFL referee shirts. But, the black pants? I can't find a decent picture and that is probably a good thing.

That reminded me of the red shirts that major league umpires pulled out quite a few years ago.

Notice that Major League Umpires don't wear this type of shirt anymore.
