Before the game yesterday, the M's made some cuts.
Left-handed pitchers Travis Blackley and Ryan Rowland-Smith (WI '03) were optioned to Class AAA Tacoma. Left-handed pitcher Matt Perisho was released. He was last seen carrying his bag to the parking lot.
Six other players were re-assigned to minor league camp. They were: right-handed pitchers Carlos Alvarado, Jesse Foppert and Juan Sandoval (WI '03); left-handed pitcher Jim Parque; catcher Luis Oliveros (WI '02); and infielder Matt Tuiasosopo (WI '05), a Woodinville native.
