The post has been up at
Baseball America's Prospect Blog for a few days, but I just saw it last night....boy, that's funny. I was looking at the
Baseball America website on a Saturday night. I think that may be the funniest thing I've made up since I started this blog...Anyway...Here are some transactions involving ex-Timber Rattlers. Not including
the trade:
Milwaukee Brewers
Signed: RHP Melqui Torres
Torres was a Rattler in 1999 and went 13-9. He came back to the Rattlers in 2000 and was 2-3 before being moved up to Lancaster. The M's let him go after the 2001 season. He played in the Mexican League in 2007.
Seattle Mariners
Signed: RHP Rich Dorman
Dorman was a Rattler in 2003 and was 1-2 with four saves in 25 appearances. He was quickly moved to Inland Empire. He spent 2007 in the Florida Marlin system, had a very good winterball season in Venezuela, and just re-signed with the Mariners. He has been as far up as Triple-A with both Seattle (Tacoma) and Florida (Albuquerque).
