Emiliano Fruto, Seattle Mariners.
He made it easy with a 3-2/3 inning save in his major league debut. Fruto is the third player off a pretty bad Rattler squad in 2002 to reach Seattle. The others were Greg Dobbs and Shin-soo Choo.
No matter what Fruto does in the majors, I will always remember him for one of the most amazing pitching performances I have ever seen.
The day was August 3rd, 2002. The opponents that day at Fox Cities Stadium were the Fort Wayne Wizards. Fruto pitched 8-1/3 innings gave up eleven hits, struck out eleven, and allowed just one run in a Rattler victory.
