The American League's offer to buy out the remaining eight years of the Oakland A's lease at the Oakland Coliseum expires, effectively blocking the sale of the club from Charlie Finley to oil man Marvin Davis. It's called McAfee Coliseum now. The A's are still playing there, but Cisco Field is on the way...Eventually.
