I'll agree with the Minnesota State Screamin' Eagles and Houston from Rollerball. Deadspin points out two that were missed. The Mean Machine from the original version of The Longest Yard and the Charleston Chiefs from Slap Shot.
Additions just out of my video collection would be the New York Knights.
Both hockey teams from Strange Brew.The Hickory Huskers...Hickory!
And, of course, the Purple Cobras of Globo Gym.
Believe me, I'll put some more thought into this.
